Sales tax deduction allowed for more than 1 vehicle

The IRS is allowing a sales tax deduction for more than 1 vehicle this year. The deduction is normally allowed on the first $49,500 of the cost of a vehicle but the IRS will now allow this deduction for multiple vehicles. So, if you purchase 2 vehicles for $35,000 each you can deduct the total sales tax for both vehicles. This rule is in effect for the period Feb. 16, 2009 through Dec. 31, 2009.
